Trump's Rumored Head of Homeland Security Compared Gay People to Pedophiles, Drug Addicts

Kris Kobach also claimed that LGBT groups like HRC endorsed “homosexual pedophilia.”

Trump's rumored pick for head of Homeland Security, Kris Kobach, has said some choice words about LGBT people.

In 2012, while backing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Kobach compared gay people to drug users while discussing the now-defunct Defense of Marriage Act: "Our government routinely judges situations where you might regard people [only] affecting themselves... like, for example, the use of controlled substances [or] polygamy."

"We condemn those activities," Kobach explained, "even though they are not hurting other people, at least directly."

In 2004, he claimed that LGBT groups like HRC organizations endorsed "homosexual pedophilia."

Kobach, Kansas' current Secretary of State, authored Arizona's strict SB 1070 anti-illegal immigration law, making him the ideal candidate to build a wall between Mexico and the U.S. Refresher: SB 1070 allowed police to stop anyone at any time with "reasonable suspicion" of their undocumented status to ask for their papers.

Unfortunately for Kobach, his appointment was put into jeopardy this week when he was photographed carrying around a printout of his plans for Homeland Security. The plan details the 2,000-mile wall to be built along the Mexican border and involved quizzing immigrants about Sharia law and their beliefs regarding the "equality of men and women."
