Tegan and Sara's 'U-Turn' Becomes a Teenage Mini-Drama

Tegan and Sara

The sparkly single gets another campy treatment.

Tegan and Sara successfully rolled out a music video for every single song off their 2016 album Love You to Death, but today the queer pop duo shared yet another. Directed by Emma Higgins, the Quin sisters' sparkly "U-Turn" has been transformed into a campy teenage mini-drama, featuring "The Ultimate Girl Stars" dance troupe. This follows the track's original video--a child-like animated clip directed by Hunx and His Punx personality Seth Bogart.

The short film's plotline underlines Tegan and Sara's lyrics, profiling a group of girls who're rehearsing together until one takes things a bit too far and breaks off to learn the choreography alone. "Ask you for forgiveness, tell you I was wrong," the "U-Turn" lyrics begin. "Sit myself down, bring my pride in, and start to focus, change who I've been." In the end, the independent diva returns to her friends to ask for forgiveness through dance, at one point giving them all "her heart." Watch, below.
