Tegan and Sara Go Trippy and Animated in ‘Hang on to the Night’ Video

Like any great summer night, Tegan and Sara's video for "Hang on to the Night" is fun, a small part mysterious, a big part trippy, and all set to a light synth beat.

Directed and designed by Lisa Hanawalt and animated by Nicole Stafford, the video plays well with the song's light, unassuming beat and tempo, showing us how the stars appear in the sky every night and how earthly denizens unwind until the wee hours of the morning. We've all been there before, now it's up to you to decide if you're the star-making bipedal horse, a frond-headed twerking plant, a snake with boobs, or that bird girl who can't leave the house without one more snack.
