Tweezing
To tweeze your eyebrows, make sure they're moist first -- like when you've just stepped out of the shower. Comb your brows in the direction of their growth, letting them fall into place. After figuring out which areas need thinning, tweeze your eyebrows in the direction of hair growth. Start under the brow, from the inside out. Don't pluck away too many hairs from the top of your brow. Instead target the ones that are obviously sticking out. Again, start from the center, then move outwards. With a little practice, you'll soon get the hang of it.
Eyebrow Waxing
This route is often considered the best, simply because the effects last longer. You can have it done by a professional or do it yourself if you're feeling up to the task. Before starting, make sure the brow is neatly brushed, use an astringent like witch hazel to clean and soothe the skin around the brow, and apply the boiled wax with a tiny spatula. (You'll find professional wax available at any drug store or you can buy precut wax strips.) Don't go too far into the brow or else you risk damaging its natural shape. Finally, rip the strip in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Yeah, it's going to hurt -- but it'll be worth it.
Laser Removal
While not amenable to eyebrow shaping or sculpting, laser hair removal is a great option for anyone cursed with the dreaded unibrow, although it's a rather expensive procedure. For some, the price is worth it, as the hair removal is permanent. Steer clear of this procedure if you are tanned, and if you are naturally dark-skinned, check with your dermatologist first.
