But after winning over critics and audiences alike, the gay chansonnier is releasing his two-disc, live companion album Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall on Dec. 4. With arrangements by Avenue Q's Stephen Oremus, the album features Wainwright backed by a 36-piece orchestra, covering Garland standards like 'The Man That Got Away,' 'The Trolley Song,' and, of course, 'Over the Rainbow.'
