The Wedding Guide
1. First you need a good concept. 'Slutty' + 'occupation' = costume! Slutty Nurse, Slutty Witch, or Slutty Slut. For that last one just write Free Pussy on your stomach with an arrow pointing to your crotch. 2. For makeup, think either 'trick' or 'treat.' I'm more 'trick,' so I gravitate toward makeup that would normally be found on a hooker's stolen motel pillowcase and shades of lip gloss that you'd only locate at the base of a penis.September 13 2006 8:00 PM
The guys were a lot more comfortable than the girls with the sexual rehearsals [simulating intercourse]. One actress suggested that everyone in the room be nude, including me, my assistant, and the cameraperson. It worked. After the initial shock, everybody relaxed. But nudity is not sex. At first the guys were all 'No prob,' but once we got on set, the women were Zen and the guys were like, 'Where's the Viagra?' Once the actors took their pills way too early. Later we had to digitally remove the red from their faces. Another time an actor came unexpectedly'all over my shoe.September 12 2006 8:00 PM
Ali Larter is our hero'literally. As one of the stars of NBC's new X-Men'like series Heroes, which premieres September 25, Larter plays Niki Sanders, a single mom-stripper who has a power she can't control'when faced in bad (like she's going to be killed bad) situations, Niki passes out and her super-strong mirror image takes control. Sound wild? You haven't seen the half of it.September 10 2006 8:00 PM
'My heart feels dead inside / It's cold and hard and petrified / Lock the doors and close your eyes / We're going for a ride.' Not exactly lyrics you'd expect from the bright-as-sunshine Scissor Sisters. But get ready: Their new album, Ta-Dah, is laced with them. You see, after the phenomenal success of their self-titled debut album, the Sisters were spent, beat, wiped'and more than a little cranky. 'I could throw you in a lake / And feed you poisoned birthday cake / I could bury you alive / But you might crawl out with a knife (and kill me).'September 06 2006 8:00 PM
Guadalajara, Mexico, may not have the seaside queer appeal of, say, Puerto Vallarta, but as we learned on a recent visit, the city (located in the region in which virtually all of the world's tequila is made) has a wide variety of gay nightlife. In our October issue we described our visit to the Hacienda del Patr'n, just outside the city, where Patr'n makes their premium tequilas. While we were there, we had only one night to check out the nightlife. So we made the most of it. Link Bar & LoungeSeptember 05 2006 8:00 PM
