While it's easy to find H&M (Sweden's universal clothing purveyor) and settle for Finish design brands like Marimekko when thinking of Scandi fashion, there's plenty to be on the prowl for a bit of Arctic flair.

The fashion scene in Finland lives in the shadow of fellow Nordic countries Sweden and Denmark, but young designers like Heikki Salonen (formerly at Erdem and Diesel) are changing that. He has his own eponymous menswear line that experiments with textures and patterns. He's also joined MM6, so expect big things from him.

This Swedish brand may have gotten famous for its can't-be-missed Fedora cap (considered a classic, but it continues to produce great garments rooted in traditional (meaning modern) Scandinavian style.
