Two weeks after his groundbreaking menswear presentation in Shanghai, Dior Homme creative director Kris Van Assche made an express stop in New York to unveil a new pop-up installation designed by the uber-trendy creative studio M/M (Paris).

KvawoodkidThe installation celebrates the launch of Van Assche's latest fall collection for Dior, which hit stores last week: "This collection is a big step forward in my work on individuality," the designer said. "Working with M/M (Paris) allowed me to get that plan across."

For the occasion, the Dior Homme boutique in SoHo has been transformed to match this season's lookbook, conceived by M/M (Paris) and photographed by Karim Sadli. Van Assche (pictured, left) also invited Woodkid (pictured, right), aka Yoann Lemoine, French musician and video director for the likes of Lana del Rey, or Drake and Rihanna. The pair collaborated on Dior's fall 2011 collection, which was inspired by Woodkid's work.

"I found out somehow my work as a musician and a director made sense with his work as a designer," Woodkid said in an interview with WWD. "Because we have the same love for formalism and craft, and a sense of sobriety, too. We both, I think, are very rigorous in our work, and we do things seriously. We don't joke about what we do."

If you find yourself in the city, check out the display at the Dior Homme boutique on 133 Greene Street, SoHo.
