Restaurant of the week: Momo Sushi Shack in Bushwick
I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese cuisine, but I love this place! I always have a great time and the food is delicious. The pork belly -- which they call "Pork Betty" -- is sublime with an egg on top!
Song of the week: "Wildest Moments" by Jessie Ware
I saw Jessie Ware perform at Warsaw, in Brooklyn. Great voice and cool attitude. I love her more sensuous songs. She's sort of like Sade, but tougher. And Wildest Moments is the anthem for getting through a volatile relationship.
Recipe of the week: German Apple Pancake
I made this last week with fresh picked apples from an orchard in upstate New York. It's easy to make and super delicious when served warm with ice cream! A perfect fall recipe.
Concept of the week: Metabolist architecture
It's so futuristic, and yet was an idea in the late '50s in Japan. Architecture was supposed to emulate itself after biology and organisms. Structures were meant to be cellular, with pods, or capsules in a plug-in model.
Store of the week: Mohawk General Store in Silverlake, Los Angeles
It's a 10 minute walk from my new apartment, and it's extremely dangerous. A surprising edit of Dries Van Noten (my favorite), the perfect A.P.C. pieces (my second favorite), and a ton of other great brands carefully curated to make the ideal wardrobe. I'm going to be dropping some serious coin here.

Movie of the week: "Captain Phillips"
Tom Hanks's performance in the last 10 minutes of the film is absolutely amazing! I felt so much! And my movie biz friend says this one is getting lots of pre-Oscar buzz.
Poem of the week: "Out Where The West Begins" by Arthur Chapman
I'm moving to California in a week so this poem has special meaning. And I think it is so true! NYC is fabulous and I will always love it, but the west is just special. The experiences out there just feel a bit more real.
