Out Fashion Director Grant Woolhead shares his favorite things

Clockwise from left: Dries Van Noten A/W 2013; the Beverly Hills Hotel; Georgia O'Keefe; Zuber 'Isola Bella' wallpaper; Rob Clarke.

Home: Zuber Wallpapers

Ok, these are pretty expensive but I have always loved beautiful wallpapers, and you don't need any artwork, mirrors, or pictures obstructing these as they are a piece of art in themselves. A particular favorite of mine is "Una Vista de Isola Bella." I would just want to wake up to that every morning.

The collaboration: Jonathan Saunders for Smythson

Being from London, Smythson of Bond St. is the spot for all things paper, be it stationary, diaries, or beautiful journals. For spring 2014, they've just done a wonderful collaboration with one of our Out 100 honorees in 2011, the very talented London-based designer Jonathan Saunders. Together they've made lovely leather pouches and wallets that I'm very excited about.

Fashion: Dries Van Noten Tinsel Mohair Sweaters

I've just received my personal order from one of my favorite designers, Dries Van Noten. Now that the fall is kicking in, I love a good sweater, and being a fan of the grunge look you cannot go wrong with a great Mohair sweater. Dries has done an array of colors with what looks like a tinsel fleck in the mohair. Definitely the sweater of the season.

Party: Hallowood
Hands down, the hottest Halloween party on the planet is Hallowood, in Milan. Held by photographer Giampaolo Sgura and his partner Miguel Arnau, it attracts the best-dressed from all over the world. This year's party had an African theme.

Fragrance: Cire Trudon 'Abd El Kader' CandleTrudon

This candle is heaven! Now that the weather is starting to cool down and we spend more time hunkering down to keep warm, I think beautiful candles really make your house a home. Your scent should be signature to you, and this one really pushes my olfactory senses. The entire collection is pretty delicious.

Book: 'Georgia O'Keefe and Her Houses'

Architecture buffs and budding interior designers will love this book. I went on a trip to Santa Fe a while ago and bought it, and as I'm thinking about a trip out to the desert for New Year, I've been looking over this again. It really is inspiring to think about living on a ranch in the middle of the desert, especially when it's getting cold here in NYC.

Accomodation: The Beverly Hills Hotel

I just arrived back from L.A. this morning and all I have to say is: What is more fabulous than The Beverly Hills Hotel? This place just conjures up a time of Hollywood glamour: Gloria Swanson, Rudolph Valentino, and Charlie Chaplin were original patrons, and the place is having a bit of a renaissance right now. If you're in L.A., go and have a cocktail at the bar, and transport yourself back to another era.

Art: Rob Clarke's Dog Paintings

Rob is a friend of mine and we're from the same hometown of Luton, England, more commonly known as the asshole of Britain. My bestie bought me one of his dog paintings for my birthday and I love it. That sweet, sad face against a bright orange background is up on my kitchen wall. It's sort of like having a dog, but without all of the fuss. I called my one Biscuit, because that was the name of Barry Manilow's dog.
