The city of Los Angeles rejects new promo art because of nudity and 'obscene matters'

Heidi Klum is out! Project Runway is coming back for a 12th season, and the show has already been getting some buzz -- but for the wrong reasons.

A billboard ad to promote the show was rejected by the city of Los Angeles, reports Variety. On the picture, hosts Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn can be seen posing in regal costumes while a group of naked models surrounds them in worship.

Lifetime has confirmed that the ad will not be on display in Los Angeles due to nudity, however it was not clear whether the city formally vetoed the ad, or whether private sellers of advertising space rejected the image.

The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety has the authority to prohibit signs containing "obscene matters", although as our colleagues at Buzzfeed point out, other questionable signs have been erected around the city without causing much of a stir.
