Ottavio Missoni died peacefully in his sleep last Thursday, aged 92. An accomplished athlete (he competed at the 1948 London Olympics as a member of the 400-metre hurdles team), Missoni founded his own knitwear workshop in 1953 with his wife Rosita. Sixty years on, the label remains famous for its colorful and intricate zig-zag patterns, and its creator lives on as one of the most stylish men ever.
