What to do in L.A. this weekend: Mondrian, Mapplethorpe and Zegna

Fashion: Become a Mondrian Muse
Get snapped in the lobby of the very accommodating Mondrian Hotel in L.A. and get a chance to be featured as a "Muse" on the hotel group's online lifestyle magazine, 'Back of House'. Starting this weekend and to celebrate L.A. Fashion Week, anyone who takes a picture in their most stylish outfit in the lobby of the Mondrian and tweets it to @morganshotels with the hashtag #MondrianMuse could appear on their blog and social media pages. To your Instagram, people!
Mondrian Los Angeles 8440 Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood (323-650-8999)

Culture: See the best work of Robert Mapplethorpe at LACMA
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is hosting a must-see retrospective of the photographer's most striking work. Via a selection of stills from his outstanding portfolios 'X', 'Y' and 'Z', it transpires that the master of black & white Polaroid film was also a versatile artist, shifting his focus throughout his career from S&M fetishes to floral still-life and beautiful black men.
'Robert Mapplethorpe: XYZ' at LACMA (5905 Wilshire Blvd; 323-857-6000). Through March 24.
$15, $10 reductions. Open 10am-7pm Saturday & Sunday.

Shopping: Check out Z Zegna's first flagship store in Beverly Hills
We were obsessed with Z Zegna all week, and because there's never too much of a good thing, we invite you to visit the first stand-alone store dedicated to Ermenegildo Zegna's fashion-forward sister label. Opening this weekend, it is 1,600 square feet of impeccable design on and off the racks.
Z Zegna
at the Beverly Center (7th floor, 8500 Beverly Blvd; 310-854-0070). Open 10am-8pm Saturday, 11am-6pm Sunday.
