At the Topman Design F/W 2013 show today, the "Topman" himself took a trip through the Himalayas, leaving behind his breezy, shorts and floral shirts from last season in favor of rugged winter-ready parkas, knits, and peacoats. Long or cropped winter coats in arctic white or cream worn over monochromatic, loose suits get toughened up even further, accessorized with no nonsense backpacks complete with hip flasks, iPad, and compass holders and combat boots that are ready to transition from hiking to shopping.
With the introduction of color, winter-sun orange and a particularly covetable shade of cranberry, the collection's mood returns to the brand's trademark whimsy expressed in its rich, spiced color palette. A wrap-around sherbet orange cardigan that recalls the lounging luxe of a robe is worn over a scarf printed shirt and an ascot. As far as fit, Topman's look for next winter is loose -- pants are wide and baggy, sweaters are big and comfy. Standout pieces from the collection are a covetable boiled-wood peacoat that sports an intricate Tibetan print and knitwear laced with abstract ohm designs.
