We smell a trend, and its one that seemingly virtually spits in the face of sartorial authority. For as long as we can remember, it was a universal agreement that thou shalt not wear socks with sandals. Yet with London and Milan Fashion Weeks said and done, and Paris in full swing, we're seeing that some rules were made to be broken. Designers ranging from Donatella to Miuccia are coaxing you to reexamine that tried and true maxim and slip some socks (or in the case of Nicola Formichetti's showing for Mugler--tights) on under those slides. We have a feeling that street style photogs will either be perplexed or enthralled next season when daring dandys adopt the style.
