ABC Tells Madonna to Cover Up

ABC execs want to digitally censor Madonna's new perfume ad before airing it on their network.

Apparently, Madonna's bikini body has made some ABC execs blush.

After watching Madge's new ad for her Truth or Dare perfume, network execs at ABC have ordered for producers of the commercial to digitally cover up the Material Girl's derriere and bosom. Funnily enough, this reminds us of the classic exchange from the film A League of Their Own, in which Doris--played by Rosie O'Donnell--tells Mae--played by Ms. Ciccone--"You think there are men in this country who ain't seen your bosoms?" (For a reminder, click here and skip to 9:25)

As one source told the New York Post, Disney-owned ABC "viewed the ad [and] came back with a list of changes. They say they want her bra digitally made bigger...and her corset longer to cover more of her bottom."

The execs have also asked that producers cut a scene in which Madonna squirms around suggestively.

This isn't the first time in recent memory that the Queen of Pop has made people think unpure thoughts: YouTube just censored her "Girl Gone Wild" video for being too racy.

Um, is this ABC's first rodeo or something? Madonna has been showing off her bosoms and booties since the early 80s, and everyone throws a fit, hems and haws, censors her, and then two years later deems it one of her most iconic moments. If you take away the T and A and the suggestive squirming, then what, exactly, would be left?
