I know that everything I've said for the past seven days have been about Fashion Week, Fashion Week, Fashion Week, and you're probably tired of hearing it. Believe me, I'm starting to tire saying it. But that being said, I did want to take a moment to point out that my favorite British aristocrats made an appearance (in spirit) on the final day of the New York shows, in Ralph Lauren's Downton Abbey themed collection (below). He mostly interpreted the fussy Crawley girls' country style, but he should have aimed his sights higher, like for the only good-looking, stylish broad on that show--the Dowager Countess, of course.
Calvin Klein, on the other hand, must have been smitten with the radical heroine at the center of The Girl With the Dragoon Tattoo. Not only was the Oscar-nominated actress Rooney Mara--who portrayed Salander in this year's film--sitting front row at the show, but many of his minimalist looks had a tough-girl quality, with severe black bobs, mirroring the fictional badass hacker renegade (above).
