The holidays are a bit of guilt trip leverage imposed upon me by my family. Though it should be a time of good cheer and yuletide joy, my mom uses it as a form of blackmail, forcing me to come home and lay around the house and watch old re-runs of Intervention, sulk, and silently seethe as she grills me on why, exactly, I have yet to find a doctor or lawyer (or in her twisted imagination, both) and trick him into proposing to me. Basically, it's a legal form of emotional torture. So you can only imagine how annoying it is for me to see what celebrities do for their holiday vacations. You know that US Weekly feature "Celebrities: They're Just Like Us" where they show the rich and famous milking a photo op by pumping their own gas or strolling the aisles of the local Big Lots? Well, checking out their holiday escapades is the exact opposite of that. But one that struck me as particularly interesting is what Mr. Marc Jacobs is doing. Jacobs was spotted (looking fit and fine, I might add) with his ex-fiance Lorenzo Martone on the sandy, sunny beaches of St. Barts, causing my soul to wither and die, just a little bit. While the two frolicked there, they ran into none other than celebrity stylist (and new mommy) Rachel Zoe. How fab.
Now, on first glance, this isn't so interesting (other than the fact that Jacobs and Martone are rocking hot bods), but it brings up an interesting question: Where in the world is Harry Louis? Remember, Harry Louis is the porn star that was rumored to be dating Jacobs only a few weeks ago. If the two were, in fact, courting one another, it seems strange that Jacobs would be hanging out with his former lover, no? Jacobs is very vocal about the fact that he's still close friends with Martone (he told Vogue this month: "Yeah, we are best friends. We speak to each other, I don't know, six times a day.") so the two of them bonding isn't so odd...but it certainly puts a major wrench in any speculation that Marc is seeing Harry Louis.
