Fashion Field Trip: Shipley & Halmos

Fashion sometimes seem like a far-off land of fantasy and excess that can leave ordinary Joes who want to look stylish but not overdone feeling confused and frustrated. Enter Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos, the designers behind Shipley & Halmos, where fashionable guys go for modern takes on classic pieces.

We visited the boys -- who met during their freshman year of college -- in their New York showroom, The News, to hear about their design philosophy, what it's like working with your best friend and to take a peek at their latest projects:

Oh, and boys -- back off. They're cute as buttons but also straight as arrows. Sigh.
