Raf Simons' inaugural line as Calvin Klein's Chief Creative Officer is a made-to-order collection inspired by decades of Americana, referencing western fashion, from the '20s until today. "Calvin Klein By Appointment 1-14 is very much about celebrating the American woman and American fashion," Simons said, releasing a new campaign, featuring Stranger Things Actress Millie Bobby Brown.
The campaign cast, Simons said, brings his idea to life, adding that they're "chosen for who they are, where an essential strength of character is key. Whether famous or unknown, all are treated equally." Other notable figures featured include models Abbey Lee Kershaw, Lineisy Montero, Kiki Willems, Natalie Westling, Selena Forrest and Tessa Bruinsma.
The imagery, shot by Photographer Willy Vanderperre, displays classic Calvin Klein underwear opposite models wearing custom looks, juxtaposing CK's legacy of mass appeal with elite delicacy. Previously only available to celebrities and select private clients, Calvin Klein By Appointment has opened up its services to all, with appointments available starting April 1, 2017. Under Simons, the brand will continue its signature mass market advertising on billboards and in popular magazines, as well.
