Designer Julie Berube of London-based label Field of Ponies has always been fascinated by our seemingly infinite universe, often reflecting back on childhood when she'd dream of somehow building a site at the end of our galaxy "with cranes and fences and piles of pebbles."
For fall '17, Berube mined these innocent ideas for inspiration, creating a genderless collection with allusions to construction in childlike silhouettes, featuring safety orange accents and hand-stitched applications. "Working slowly and mostly by myself allows me the freedom and space I need to create original ideas," Berube said of her process.
The lineup's new lookbook features queer Canadian artist Simon Fortin, who creates his illustrative work under the moniker Emo Twink.
