First Look: Americana Collection by Kyle King

Now that summer as finally kicked off, New York-based designer Kyle King has a treat for you: a new capsule collection, Americana, to coincide with the launch of his brand's new e-commerce platform. Beachwear collections usually hit the market in spring, but King decided to go against industry trends, giving you plenty of options for your high summer getaways.

"While working on my collection for 2016, which will be previewed as well on my website, I was inundated with request from guy friends and followers to put something out now," the designer says. "So I decided to try something different and put a capsule collection out in the middle of summer, and sell it direct to customers on my website, bypassing the typical chain of events it takes to get products in stores."

Inspired by American heritage, King partnered up with Dolfin, formerly a cargo parachutes manufacturer, to produce the capsule collection. It features three different cuts, using textured jacquard fabrications with lux detailing, and a subtle color palette of deep indigo, garnet red, and crisp white. Now you won't have to worry about running out of costume changes for your next Fire Island bash.
