EXCLUSIVE: Sebastian Stan Video Interview for 'Political Animals'

Stan stars alongside Sigourney Weaver in the USA Network six-part series about politics and family 'values'

If having Sigourney Weaver play a ball-busting, Hillary Clinton-esque political figure wasn't enough, Political Animals--a six-part TV event on USA Networks--also features Ellen Burstyn and Ciaran Hinds in leading roles. And Sebastian Stan, already known from his character on Gossip Girl, is the bad boy gay son (and twin) of this political dynasty.

In this exclusive video interview, Stan--who will also will star in The Apparition in August--explains his 30-year-old character's struggle with drugs, alcohol, and sexy side and as a counterpoint to his straightlaced twin (played by James Wolk).

"I saw him, personally, as a little bit of a martyr," Stan explains in the video interview. "He's having to constantly bare it all in the public eye." And yes, he DOES bare it all (check out the sneak peek at a clothes-ripping scene).

And if you're worried about the gay bona fides, don't be. The show is from creator Greg Berlanti, known for bringing amazing queer characters to live on television. Need proof? Vanessa Redgrave guest stars as a lesbian Supreme Court Justice in the series as well.

Political Animals premieres Sunday, July 15 at 10 p.m. EST on USA.
