Will Ferrell To Star In Battle Of The Sexes Dramedy, Match Maker

Anchorman star and avid sports fan, Will Ferrell, has signed on to star in Match Maker, a comedic drama about the 1973 "Battle of the Sexes" tennis match between Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King.

According to TheHollywood Reporter, Steve Conrad, who wrote the screenplays for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and The Pursuit of Happyness, will adapt the ESPN Magazine article "The Match Maker: Bobby Riggs, The Mafia and The Battle of the Sexes" by Don Van Natta Jr.

Though Ferrell will star as Riggs, there's no news yet on who will play Billie Jean King. I'm pulling for Kate McKinnon, but that's not happening.
