Janelle Monae is one brave soul. After The Wallflowers' faithful yet dull cover of David Bowie's 1977, "Heroes," it seemed like no one should ever cover Bowie again. Undeterred, Monae takes on the song for the Pepsi Beats campaign and it's excellent.
Her cover of Bowie follows a line of recent stellar remakes, including Miguel's version of "Bennie and the Jets," "Say You'll Be There" by MO, MS MR's take on "Dance Yrslf Clean" and Angel Haze's cover project from last summer.
