Erstwhile Olympic ice skater Johnny Weir may be splitting with his husband Viktor Voronov, but it seems he's not going to slither from the spotlight so soon. This week, he sat down with chatted up Lady Gaga for his first assignment as an interviewer at Access Hollywood. They talked bout her new video for "G.U.Y."
But to get the ball rolling, Weir landed this one: "You're popping my cherry, and I'm really, really excited to be interviewing you as my first sort of sit-down with Access Hollywood." Lady Gaga responded: "I'm very honored to take your interview virginity, LOL!"
As many may be aware, Weir has been a longtime fan of Lady Gaga, and according to a photo obtained by TMZ, he even has a framed concert poster of her inside his shoe closet. No, don't worry, the closet joke would have been too easy--and in poor taste?
But Weir does reveal a bit of personal struggle when he comments:
"It's interesting because in this video... the fashion and the psychotic sort of whimsy is all happening around me and it's me almost like Alice in Wonderland going through my own rabbit hole in my brain and re-experiencing the past year of my life."
