Hitting theaters this summer is the big screen adaptation of Lois Lowry's best-selling young adult novel, The Giver, starring Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, Katie Holmes, Alexander Skarsgard and Taylor Swift.
The first trailer pits Streep and Bridges against each other in a battle over sameness. "When people have the freedom to choose, they choose wrong," Streep warns as she serves up some dystopian, grey lady realness.
Wisely, no footage of Swift is included in the first tease.
