David Bowie Offers To Collaborate On 20 Feet From Stardom Star’s New Album
Claudia Lennear says Bowie offered to work with her on an LP
Normally a call from an old flame is at best awkward and at worst life ruining. However if you're Claudia Lennear, veteran songstress and the subject of the Oscar wining documentary, 20 Feet From Stardom, and your former boo is David Bowie, rock god, you may be a little happier to answer the phone.
In an interview she gave to The New York Post, Lennear--who was once romantically linked to the Ziggy Stardust rocker--said he called her "out of the blue."
Lennear told Page Six yesterday, "I got a call from David Bowie out of the blue two days ago. He told me he wanted to write my next project. I couldn't believe it when I first heard his voice. We haven't seen each other in 20 years."
It beats the usual "I need a place to crash"/"left something at your place"/"might have herpes" call from your ex.
