Veronica Mars, the short-lived but critically acclaimed cult classic TV show from the mid-aughts, is returning to us in the form a feature film and it was all thanks to you out there in TV Internet land. The Veronica Mars Movie Project holds the record for most successful film project on Kickstarter and third most successful project overall having raked in over $5.7 million over all.
Though Kickstarter films don't always succeed, the Veronica Mars movie actually looks pretty mint and like it will be the rightful successor to once epic TV show. Veronica is now a high-powered New York lawyer who's engaged to her college admirer, Piz. All's well and good until her old high school boyfriend, Logan Echolls, is accused of murder. Veronica goes back to Neptune to uncover the truth and maybe lose it all: her job, her beau, and maybe her life. Check out the trailer and the Comic Con teaser below.
