1. The New Mexico Supreme Court has ruled in favor of marriage between same-sex couples. In a 5-0 decision, the court ruled that a ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional, even though no such law was on the books. "We hold that the State of New Mexico is constitutionally required to allow same-gender couples to marry and must extend to them the rights, protections, and responsibilities that derive from civil marriage under New Mexico law," the justices unanimously concluded.
2. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Sarah Palin have weighted in on A&E suspending Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson, over anti-gay comments he made. They're totally on team Robertson.
3. Angel Haze's upcoming album, Dirty Gold, has been moved up to a December 30 release date. Haze tried to leak her album yesterday, but her label, Island Records, deactivated the SoundCloud player. Dirty Gold was originally slated to come out March 3.
4.The Atlantic has written about Edward de Lacy Evans, a transgender man who was harassed and committed to an asylum in 19th Century Australia. Evans may be Australia's first transman.
5. Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina, two memebers of the feminist punk collective Pussy Riot will be freed from Russian prison in a few days. According to the NME, the amnesty is believed to be an attempt by the Russian government to improve its public image before the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games. France's top officials, the German president, President Obama, Michelle Obama, and Joe Biden have all announced that they won't attend the games. President Obama is sending a delegation consisting of Brain Boitano, who came out today, and Billie Jean King, who has been out for sometime, to the opening ceremony.
6. Earlier this week we reported that Laura Jane Grace, the lead singer of Against Me! told her story of gender transition on the BBC. Now the band has a new track out "Black Me Out." The track's off their upcoming album Transgender Dysphoria Blues, which drops January 21.
