Over the past year, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have played host to several gay marriage proposals during their concerts. With the rise of "Same Love," their shows have become the venue to surprise a partner by getting down on knee. Though, the latest proposal to take place on stage was a bit more surprising thanks to high school senior McKyna Jacobson.
Jacobson recently surprised her girlfriend Chelsie Price by asking her to Homecoming in front of 8,000 fans at tour stop in Spokane, Washington.
"I knew I liked girls since I was the age of 4, but you were the first girl I ever fell in love with," Jacobson says before asking Price to the dance. Luckily, Price said yes as fans erupt with cheers for the couple.
"I was so excited to be going to homecoming as the first ever same-sex couple but this made it even better," Jacobson tells The Gaily Grind. "It became something bigger than just my girlfriend and I. Finally we would have a chance to show everyone that there is nothing wrong with being gay and that it is just about love. It was a chance to reach out to the public and share our story. It was an amazing experience that wouldn't have been possible without advocates such as Macklemore."
This goes down as the cutest dance proposal yet.
