We've seen a lot of Josh Hutcherson lately. He's our November cover story, and we've been quoting and following him behind camera. But back in 2009, Hutcherson was 16 years young and giving us a tour of his house on MTV Cribs (man, miss that show).
Hutcherson's Union, Kentucky, pad boasted a nap room, a fridge-full of Lunchables, photographs of Iceland the actor shot himself, and a signed Indiana Jones poster to which he pointed and explained, "eBay. Wicked." Hutcherson also collects sneakers (one of his favorite pairs has a portrait of Barack Obama handpainted on) and dirt bikes.
But the best, little-known fact: Hutcherson is also a Kentucky Colonel. The framed document hangs on the wall by his bed. Though he wasn't quite sure what the title actually meant, I did some research (i.e.: Google search) and, voila:
"Kentucky Colonels are unwavering in devotion to faith, family, fellowman, and country. Passionate about being compassionate. Proud, yet humble. Leaders who are not ashamed to follow. Gentle but strong in will and commitment."
What a good Samaritan. JHutch didn't want to kick us out like many Cribs hosts do, so he charmingly thanked us for stopping by and told us to stay as long as we wanted. How sweet -- we salut you, Colonel Hutcherson!
