It's been three months since Russia passed a law banning all public displays of gay approval, but this is the first time the homophobic government has officially chastised a television channel for airing pro-LGBT content.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cable movie channel EvroKino received a stern letter after airing Les Chansons d'Amour (Love Songs), a 2007 French musical that includes a happy gay people, gay sex, and lesbian desire, all of which amounts to "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations," warned the government. EvroKino has been ordered not to replay the movie.
