Tim Gunn Flips the Bird

Friend Movement, a new anti-bullying organization, has launched a provocative new photo campaign.

Is it simply confrontational or somehow productive in its provocative message of "self-empowerment"? Friend Movement is a new "grassroots anti-bullying organization" created by Ronnie Kroell and Elliot London that gives "bullying "the bird" by featuring a series of reality TV celebrties and pop singers flipping their middle finger to the camera. Supposedly it also encourages "youth to stop using words like fatty, freak, and faggot by choosing to be a friend instead." OK, if you say so. Could it also make people get turned off by being cocky and looking like a jerk who is stuck in traffic and showing his finger in a juvenile display of anger?

According to The Advocate: "Friend Movement plans to reach an impressive goal to shoot 10,000 photos in 90 days across 40 cities in hopes of raising global awareness of the anti-bullying cause. Many stars have already participated in the campaign, including Adam Lambert, Tim Gunn, Darren Criss, and many more. In addition to the campaign, the organization has also planned the Friend Movement Benefit Concert scheduled for July 1 featuring headliner LeAnn Rimes."

We can imagine parents won't be happy if their youngins are suddenly flipping them a bird cuz Adam Lambert did it first. But we kinda love seeing super nice and supportive Tim Gunn in such a defiant stance. Even if it's just for fun.
