As you may have heard, last week Brad Paisley released the song "Accidental Racist" in attempt to unite our nation, justify the Confederate Flag, and just finally put this whole white-people-accepting-responsibility-for-anything to bed. He invited his "friend" (Can I get a fact check on that?) LL Cool J to lay down a verse for him, one of the highlights being, "If you don't judge my gold chains / I'll forget the iron chains."
Last night on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert pointed out, "That's a pretty good deal, Paisley. LL will forget two hundred and fifty years of enslavement if you accept his taste in accessories."
Colbert wrote a similar song to cut the tension between gay and straight Americans, inspire dialogue, and get rid of some of the prejudice against brunch. He invited openly bisexual Alan Cumming to let homophobes off the hook a little bit.
Watch the video and then ask yourself the important questions. Like, "What is a straight dude doing at the Crunch gym down on Main?"
