We can never get enough of actress Tilda Swinton (even declaring 2008 her year and featuring on the cover of Out) and went understandably gaga over her appearance in David Bowie's video for "The Stars (Are Out Tonight)"--including the fact that it laid to rest the conspiracy that they were one and the same person.

Then the Academy Award-winning actress, who is a beatific 52, showed up on Saturday in a glass box as part of her "Maybe" installation, which she debuted in 1995 at London's Serpentine Gallery. She allegedly returned today, March 25, once again to lie, apparently asleep, for eight hours. She's dressed in a blue button-down shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers. "Museum staff doesn't know she's coming until the day of, but she's here today," a source told Gothamist. "She'll be there the whole day. All that's in the box is cushions and a water jug."

But you'll have to be ready at a moment's notice if you want to catch the ethereal beauty. "There is no published schedule for its appearance, no artist's statement released, no museum statement beyond this brief context, no public profile or image issued," MoMa stated in a memo. "Those who find it chance upon it for themselves, live and in real-shared-time: now we see it, now we don't."

As previously noted, the actress spoke at the Victoria & Albert Museum last week to introduce the David Bowie Is exhibition, which she said celebrated the "freaks" and "pretty things" who were shaped by the rock legend.
