RuPaul's new girls got us geared up after a sickening Premiere Party at XL Nightclub

Sharpen your stilettos and get on your starting blocks: RuPaul's Drag Race is coming back with a new season tonight. We know you're boiling with anticipation, so to help you stop fidgeting we're giving you the low-down on the Season 5 Premiere Party held at XL Nightclub in Midtown Manhattan this past weekend. We got to kiki with the new cast members, swapped fart jokes with Manila Luzon, even booed Sharon Needles on stage--and she loved it.

The creme of the femme put on their best gowns and oversized wigs to kick off Season 5. We were on the list to attend this once-in-a-lifetime set of drag performances by RuPaul's new girls and queens from the past seasons. Hosts Bianca del Rio and Lady Bunny bantered throughout the event, with special silicon and hair extension back-up courtesy of drag babies Snookie and JWoww from Jersey Shores.

The previous Drag Race winners Sharon Needles (Season 4), Raja Gemini (Season 3), and Tyra Sanchez (Season 2) took turns at collecting tips from an ecstatic audience. Tyra almost lost her wig twerking on Rihanna's "Phresh Out The Runway," while Raja gave Naomi Campbell a run for her money as she pounded the runway wrapped in a giant tampon-like boa.

The spookilicious Sharon Needles brought the party to its climax when she interrupted a slightly inebriated (and much more svelte) Snookie to take the stage and show her support to lady-boyfriend and Season 5 contestant, Alaska Thuderfuck5000. She went on to perform "Dead Girls Never Say No," a track from her upcoming album PG-13 set to be released this week.

Highlights from the season 5 newbies included Jade Jolie, Detox Icunt, and Alaska, who shone on stage and revealed promising Drag Superstar potential. Jade Jolie lipsynched to Lady Sovereign's Love Me or Hate Me in a slinky catsuit, confirming early suspicions that she could be the fishiest queen to ever enter the race. Detox, a buddy of the notorious Willem from season 4, channelled a young Anjelica Huston as she mannequin-danced her way throught the '80s hit "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now." But the self-absorbed medal went to Alaska Thunderfuck. Looking gorgeous in a gold lame dress, she sang a hilarious live rendition of The Temptation's "My Girl," which she fittingly renamed "Myself."

After such an overload of drag fabulosity, we couldn't be more worked up for the airing of a new full episode tonight. Don't miss the premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 5 at 9PM ET/PT on Logo, followed by Untucked at 10:30PM ET/PT, and share your thoughts here!
