We believe him already! George Clooney, a staunch ally for LGBT equality, is evidently still combatting rumors about his own sexual orientation and the actor's sister swears he's 100% hetero.
Adelia Zeidler, the silver fox's sister, destroys the hopes of countless straight women and gay men, by telling NY Daily News that her bachelor brother is definitely straight but is no longer the marrying type.
Zeidler laughs when asked if her superstar brother is gay. "Yes that's quite ridiculous, we don't even listen when people say things like that anymore," she says. "I think he decided that in his life he could have the career or he could have a family. And so when he decided to go full bore into the acting. That was where his focus was going to be."
Clooney was previously married to Mad Men actress Talia Balsam, but after divorcing in 1993 there's been a lengthy list of glamorous girlfriends. Yet because Clooney has yet to tie the marriage knot with any of them, there's been endless speculation about his true sexual orientation.
In an interview with The Advocate last February to promote his appearance in the marriage equality play 8, Clooney discussed the prevalent gay rumors and why they don't bother him in the least. "I think it's funny, but the last thing you'll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, 'These are lies!' That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community." He adds, "I'm not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, and I'm very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I'm gay? I'll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don't give a shit."
