In a welcome break from tradition, two openly gay actors will portray gay characters in a new sitcom. Sir Ian McKellen will join Sir Derek Jacobi in the series Vicious Old Queens, reports U.K.'s Daily Star. The two acclaimed actors will play a couple who live together in London's Covent Garden. A series of half-hour episodes is being written by Gary Janetti, who previously worked a writer and executive producer on Will & Grace and Family Guy and is expected to begin airing on the U.K.'s ITV network in April.
