Returning to her Brooklyn roots at the sold-out Barclays Center on Thursday, Barbra Streisand made clear to her 19,000 attendees who she's voting for come November.
"I love Big Bird and I hope no one tells Romney how to get to Sesame Street ... or to Pennsylvania Avenue," Babs quipped, according to the Huffington Post.
Continuing the anti-right riff, she said of Romney, "He's a good actor. [He's] a chameleon. It's great." The two-time Oscar winner can sure spot talent when she sees it.
This is hardly the first time Streisand has vocalized her political leanings. She was a proud supporter of President Barack Obama four years ago and of Clinton throughout his two terms. Apparently, she's also a longtime supporter of Big Bird, a clear jab at the now-notorious remarks Romney made in the first Presidential debate.
Streisand spoke with the Associated Press earlier this month to promote upcoming performances for her new album, Release Me. When asked about the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, she said she's "glued."
"Thank God Obama's pulling ahead because it's a clear choice, you know, in my opinion," Streisand said. "If you want to survive as a planet, recognize that there is climate change and you want to protect your food and your air and your water from pesticides, chemicals, you want to focus on education and young people and giving health care to the public - there's no choice."
Coincidentally, it broke this morning that fellow actress/singer Lindsay Lohan will be voting for Romney, but somehow, I think it best we back Babs on this one.
