Queer Eye for the Confused, Straight, Messed Up, 'Girls'?

We love Lena Dunham and her creation, Hannah, on HBO's Girls. But that perpetual college pig sty she calls home needs some spiffing up. Now that she seems to have ruined her chances to have her mostly cute (and certainly sexy) manfriend Adam from moving in, it seems she will indeed be inviting Elijah, her now-gay college ex-boyfriend to be her roommate. And it might be getting the Queer Eye makeover.

"It is a little Odd Couple," Andrew Rannells, who plays Elijah, told Vulture at a Broadway Barks animal adoption event this past weekend. While he didn't reveal any specific plot points, he did say that the situation was "maybe not safe emotionally" for Hannah -- and he promised a "gay makeover" for her apartment.

"Elijah cutes [the place] up," Rannels revealed. "I sort of Domino the apartment. Have you seen that magazine? I go and do a Domino sweep to that apartment -- to death. Unfortunately, this does not translate to her wardrobe."

Of course, we're more excited about Rannells next appearance, which will be in Ryan Murphy's The New Normal opposite Justin Bartha as a gay dad. "I got to finish the second season of Girls, which is great, and now I have to start packing right away. I leave for Los Angeles Monday."

Maybe it will look more like that swanky-hip Tribeca loft where one of the families lives. There's great art (some from Jen Bekman's 20X200 collection) on the walls, and it's all designed by Laura Ballinger Gardner. But it seems we will be getting a serious new pad for Hannah's shenanigans when Girls returns to our lives. Thank the Lord!
