Sure, you thought it was impossible, but Saturday Night Live is about to get a bit gayer.
According to Deadline, the long-running comedy series has cast Kate McKinnon to join the show. And if the site is to be believed, she will be the first out lesbian cast member.
You might recognize McKinnon her time on Logo's Big Gay Sketch Show, as an actress in the web series Vag Magazine, or as part of the Upright Citizens Brigade comedy troupe in New York City.
According to the Advocate, "[SNL] has been on the air since 1975 and is in its 37th season. The first openly gay man to be cast was Terry Sweeney in 1985. Comedian Danitra Vance, who died at the age of 35 in 1994 of cancer, was a lesbian and a member of the 11th season."
