Blake Shelton: 'I’m Going To Make Out' with Adam Levine

Sometimes opposites attract, right? Or sometimes two coworkers are giving the opportunity to use a supposedly wacky friendship to drum up publicity.

On the cover of this week's issue of People, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, hosts of American Idol knockoff The Voice, are posed together as if they're on some sort of date. The accompanying headline? "The Odd Couple."

The two hunks--one of whom has posed in some much appreciated photos for Out--are admittedly sort of an adorable pair. We know we're being played, that this "bromance" is part of some NBC back scratching, slow-news-day-French-kiss type deal, but upon reading the story, we still found ourselves charmed.

"A few weeks ago somebody asked me, 'What about you and Adam's bromance. Is there anything to it?'" Shelton told the magazine. "And I sputtered off, 'Yeah, I'm going to make out with him.' The next thing you read is 'Blake wants to Kiss Adam.' I can't believe how..."

Levine filled in the rest, saying, "...True that is?"

The two dismiss rumors that they don't get along with costar Christina Aguilera--though we still don't believe them--and go on to talk about what it is they do when they spend all sorts of handsome, famous time together.

"If I'm hanging out with Adam, I want to drink a beer and talk about the Lakers," said Shelton.

"That's a lie," Levine shot back. "You've never spoken about the Lakers. I don't think you even know who's on the time."

Humbled, Shelton replied, "I meant to say boobs."
