‘Dark Shadows’ Trailer Premieres on ‘Ellen’

Depp-Burton vampire flick to show first scenes Thursday

We're big fans of the Johnny Depp-Tim Burton bromance and have been publicly quite excited for the duo's upcoming vampire flick Dark Shadows. And while the movie is slated to open May 11, there's been a marked lack of preview material available aside from a few photos, including these and a recent spread in Vanity Fair.

Now word comes (via /film) that a trailer for the film, which features Depp, as ancient vamp Barnabas Collins, alongside Helena Bonham Carter, Chloe Moretz, Eva Green, and Michelle Pfeiffer, will premiere in a most unlikely spot: Thursday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

In this, the trailer for the show (we know, we know, so many trailers), you can actually see some new snippets from Dark Shadows, which is a sure-to-be-campy reboot of a 1960s soap opera. It's not much, and the only theory we have as to why it's premiering on Ellen is because she and Depp seem to share a hairdresser, but it's enough to satisfy us for now.
