Rick Santorum: Now With Interchangeable Sweater Vests

2.21.2012

By Joshua Gardner

The republican presidential candidate available as adorable paper doll

In a fairer, less prejudiced world, all of Rick Santorum's views would be inclusive of gay and women’s rights and his sweater vests would be festooned in rainbows and he would be doing the glitter bombing instead of inciting it. Sigh…

Wait, what’s that? That day has come? Santorum was spotted in a boobless sweater?

That’s right! Thanks to Etsy.com talent and Pretty on the Outside blogger David Gilmore, Ricky can now be spotted wearing sweater vests the likes of which haven’t been seen since San Francisco Leather Week.

At least in paper doll form and in the privacy of your home. But isn’t that where everything truly “special” happens, anyway?

The hilarious dolls, which come in colors like leopard print and say hilarious things like “Google me” are a great way of taking out your political frustrations in a healthy, constructive way: by playing with dolls!

And they can all be yours. You can find the paper dolls on sale at David Gilmore’s Etsy page here.

Call me whatever, but the idea of anything that even remotely resembles this homophonic bigot sits at the very bottom of my "must have" list. Rick Santorum is the exact opposite of my ideal president. If he is elected, it's goodbye to LGBT human rights and hello to the Dark Ages!!
Mark my word, this man is real trouble for all civil rights for us LGBT human beings!!

The analogy to the Dark Ages is not quite right. Perhaps Medieval Europe when Santorum's borebears were burning witches and selling indulgences to get loved ones out of "Purgatory." This guy is a paid lobbyist for the U. S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, who are completely out of touch with their congregations. Talk about religious as meaningless opiate for the masses!

Call me whatever, but the idea of this homophobic bigot in any shape, form or fashion somehow sits at the bottom of my "must-have' list. Not in this or any other reality would I want anything that even remotely resembles Rick Santorum.
