A Doll's Life: 'Downton Abbey' Paper Dolls

2.17.2012

We bow down to you, 'New York' Magazine, for turning the Crawley's into fashionable figurines.

Perhaps you're out there living under a rock, or something, and haven't heard of the BBC series Downton Abbey that's sweeping the nation like a case of typhoid fever. In that case: A. Shame on you. B. Start watching it now! Series (British translation: season) one is currently streaming on Netflix...at this very moment. In any case, if you are a fan of the show, you'll be delighted to know that the Crawley's and their servants are no longer confined to shadows playing out Edwardian fantasies on your television or computer screens—they can now be yours to touch and feel in the flesh...well, sort of. New York Magazine has released a collection of Abbey-inspired paper dolls, including Out's favorite TV diva, the one and only Dowager Countess. You can check out all of them here. If there's a lull in virtual activity on our website today, my apologies, but I'm hosting a paper doll tea this afternoon, and Thomas is nowhere to be found! Someone fetch Carson, right away!
