Homosapien by Pete Shelly, hands down, gayest song of the 80's and possibly most 80's song of the 80's

How about "Boom Boom" by Paul Lakakis; Menergy by Patrick Cowley (or
"Right on Target"). "Man After Midnight" by ABBA, Lana Pellay "Pistol in My Pocket", "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell, "Earthquake" by the Flirtations, and "I am What I am" by Gloria Gaynor.

This would be a more accurate list But leaving off Miguel Brown, Divine, Mann Parrish, Malcolm McLaren, and Salsoul Orchestra? Heresy. Madonna's biggest, gayest hit "Vogue" wouldn't exist without Salsoul's "Ooh I Love It (Love Break)" and Malcolm's "Deep In Vogue", for goodness' sake.

Madonna's Express Yourself - Total classic!

Great playlist, but you forgot Gloria Gaynor's cover of "I Am What I Am". Disappointed.

Anonymous 11.30.2011 8:09 AM

I totally agree. BIG hit, big miss to not include in this list. The Queen of Disco is still surviving despite this snub.

Anonymous 11.29.2011 5:07 PM

Thanks especially for giving our Queen-Madonna- the respect she deserves on your list!
