Gay Agenda: What You're Doing This Weekend

Legendary 60's drag troupe The Cockettes were notorious for their outrageous, genderfucked theatrical events. For two nights only, the Thrillpeddlers will present Vice Palace: The Last Cockettes Musical as part of NYC's annual Howl! Festival. Written as a vehicle in 1972 for the filthy/gorgeous Divine and Mink Stole (of John Waters films), Vice Palace is an unhinged musical revue loosely based on Poe's Masque of the Red Death, with a little Fellini thrown in, featuring songs like "Swami Hot Pastrami" and "A Crab on Uranus". At Theater 80 on St. Mark's Place, Oct. 21 & 22, 11pm
