Ryan Seacrest Responds to Adam Levine's Comments About American Idol

We totally agree with Shana Naomi Krochmal, who penned our Adam Levine cover story, when she wrote the following on her blog in response to the Seacrest comments above:

"Seacrest does a MUCH better job of answering this than Nigel Lythgoe did. And I agree that it’s unlikely there’s a conspiracy at Fox -- but also there’s never been any proactive, more progressive approach to include gay lives in backstory or hometown segments, or to aggressively promote gay contestants to media (as The Voice did).

I love that ultimately Seacrest’s answer is -- come on then. Do it. Come out on live TV. I really hope someone in season 11 takes him up on it."

We hope so, too.
