The Emperor's New Clothes: Alexis Mabille Edition

All day long we are cocooned, draped, swathed, cloaked, covered and enveloped by clothing. In the winter we pile on the layers to protect us, but the summer is often a delicate balance of staying cool and staying appropriate. In his clever spring 2012 show, cutieAlexis Mabille played a silly little trick on his audience by opening the show with models wearing tank tops that read both Alexis M'habille (French translation: "Alexis dresses me") and Alexis Me Deshabille (or "Alexis undresses me"). While plenty of delightful clothing was, in fact, shown -- why bother showing that? As they say -- less is more.
